Since its inception in 1987, Helpline Georgia has answered more than 400,000 calls from people throughout the state who needs confidential help for substance abuse. Based on the caller’s needs, resources from a vast database are accessed to provide him or her with the fastest assistance available. 800 statewide substance abuse prevention and treatment providers are listed in the database, among a total of 3,900 resources available to Helpline callers.
Every call is handled by a trained, caring professional in real time who thoroughly understands the substance abuser problem. Callers also receive helpful materials and other information at no charge.
