Innovative Programs to Address Contemporary Youth Issues

Successfully navigating the social presssures and challenges youth face is tough - both for children and their parents.  Hodac's Youth Services department specializes in hands-on programs addressing the most daunting social problems, including preventing teen pregnancy and substance abuse, handling romantic relationships, establishing life goals, developing coping skills, and improving communication skills.

Through our student assistance program, Hodac's Prevention Counselors implement programs designed to keep children and adolescents on the right track socially, academically, and otherwise through mentoring, wholesome activities, support, encouragement and understanding. Young people are encouraged to open up about and discuss specific subjects such as relationships, peer pressure, coping with family problems, academic problems and other issues that impact their lives.  When schools are out during the summertime, counselors do not provide school-based services, but are available for phone consultation. A summer program is available through Hodac’s Teen Center.
